In this guide, we’ll explain everything you need to know about the Destiny 2 Witch Queen Legendary Campaignincluding the differences and the rewards you’ll get for taking on this more difficult challenge.
After Destiny 2 Witch Queen’s introductory cutscene, Guardians will be faced with an immediate decision: to choose between “Be Brave” or “Become Legend.” This actually refers to playing the campaign on the default difficulty or the much harder Legendary difficulty.
What is different about the Legendary Witch Queen Campaign in Destiny 2?
If you choose to take on this more difficult challenge, players can look forward to a pretty challenging experience. Lead designer Matt McConnell shared details about how challenging the Legendary campaign is in a blog post, revealing that it’s designed to be more difficult than Legendary Nightfall, “although it’s easier than a solo dungeon or running Grandmaster Nightfall.” p>
Enemies will generally be more difficult and aggressive. They have higher damage resistance, are harder to stagger, and have stronger shields for unmatched damage types.
It’s not just the way enemies react in combat, but the type of enemies you’ll face changes compared to the base difficulty of the campaign. For example, elite enemies will be swapped out for bosses, or you’ll have an influx of more red bar enemies that, for newcomers, are generally harder to defeat.
That said, it should be noted that Legendary difficulty scales to match your Fireteam, so solo players will see reduced enemy damage and health, while three players will see experience increase, although not exactly 1:1.
What rewards do you get for beating the legendary campaign
