Each new or returning weapon in the Witch Queen expansion will have an origin trait in a third trait slot that depends on its origin. Essentially, these traits are tied to the weaponmaker’s style and can have effects such as Veist returning ammo to the magazine.

At the time of writing, there are 14 Origin Traits in total in Witch Queen and Bungie plans to release three new ones for each season after Season 16. This means one for Season 17, one for the raid or dungeon, and then one more for the season. event.
