Dune premieres on HBO Max accompanied by a series that delves into this universe

Since it was released in theaters, viewers around the world have been asking about the film’s arrival on Warner’s streaming platform, which, for those who don’t know, is the producer of the film and the owner of HBO. Max.

Due to copyright and licensing issues, it has taken months to arrive in Spain, much longer than in the United States, where it was released at the same time as in theaters (HBO has already explained that this commercial strategy was to attract new customers to the service).

Now, months later, HBO Max has a month full of premieres this February, with all the big movies that have been released during 2021 and early 2022. With Dune as the headliner.

For those who don’t know, director Oscar Denis Villeneuve was commissioned to shoot Dune for Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures, which is an adaptation of Frank Herbert’s bestseller of the same name.

Dune tells the story of Paul Atreides, a brilliant young man born to a great destiny beyond his comprehension, who must travel to the most dangerous planet in the universe, Arrakis, to secure the future of his family and his people.

The cast of actors that appear in the film is hats off: Javier Bardem, Timothée Chalamet, Josh Brolin, Oscar Isaac, Rebecca Ferguson, Zendaya, Jason Momoa… And they all do a great choral work, something rare to see when there are so many stars together.

If you like series like Friends, The Sopranos or Game of Thrones, HBO Max has these and many more in its catalog.

As we mentioned before, Dune arrives on HBO Max tomorrow, February 17, 2022 after waiting several months. And, right now, we only have one request for HBO: please, that it arrive with all the available languages ??(you already know that the app is famous for its infinite audio and subtitle failures).

Along with this premiere, HBO Max is going to include in its catalog the 2003 three-part miniseries called Children of Dune, which tells the story of the second and third book of the trilogy that Frank Herbert wrote decades ago. It’s not a great series, but it is great for delving into its universe.
