FromSoftware’s latest RPG has a bunch of systems that should be familiar to fans of its iconic Souls series, but there are a few new ones on the way. What does the iron whetblade do?
The Iron Whetblade essentially opens up more options by adding Ashes of War to the team. The regular Whetstone Knife allows you to modify weapons to make them “standard” or “quality.”
Standard only grants magic, special attack, etc. to the weapon, while quality changes the weapon’s stats.
In comparison, Iron Whetblade opens up more options, such as sharp and heavy magic.
How to get Iron Whetblade and what it does in Elden Ring
The Iron Whetblade is found at Stormveil Castle in Limgrave, which is likely to take around five hours on your Elden Ring adventure. Follow these steps to find it:
- Starting from this Site of Grace at Stormveil Castle (wall tower), head through the southeast door and continue until you reach a door on the left with an elevator. You may need to pull the nearby elevator if the elevator is down.
- Now on the lower floor and having gone through the archway to face that painting you can see here, head to the door in the left corne
- You need to use astone sword key on the little statue you see here to clear the mist that is normally on that door.
- Kill the two enemies in the next room and pick up the item from the corpse on the anvil in front of the fireplace.
