Countdown to the world premiere of Elden Ring. What has become one of the most anticipated video games of the decade is now finalizing the details regarding the cross-play (what we know as cross-play) on consoles; what are the conditions and restrictions regarding multiplayer options. Bandai Namco clarified all existing doubts on the occasion of last year’s network test, which we will move on to below.
How will cross-play work in Elden Ring
Bandai Namco has reported on the operation of cross-play in Elden Ring, making it clear, first of all, that it will exist: it will be possible to enjoy cross-play between platforms of the same family. However, it will not be possible to match up with players from other platforms. In essence: PlayStation players will only communicate with PS4 and/or PS5 users; on Xbox, only between Xbox One and/or Xbox Series. PC will be sidelined only with players from the computer version.
- Elden Ring players on PlayStation: will only be able to play with PS4 and/or PlayStation 5 users.
- Elden Ring players on Xbox: You will only be able to play with Xbox One and/or Xbox Series users.
- Elden Ring players on PC: You will not have shared multiplayer with users from PS4, PS5, Xbox One or Xbox Series; only with computer players.
How will Elden Ring multiplayer work?
At this point many players may be wondering what Elden Ring’s multiplayer will look like. The truth is that it will be in different ways, more or less direct; more or less cooperative. On the one hand, the cooperative mode will allow up to four players to participate at the same time to traverse the world and discover secrets alone or in company.
Another multiplayer option will come from the hand of a call system: we will draw a sign on the ground and another player can arrive to offer us help at certain times. For this it will be necessary to have the so-called Furlcalling Finger Remedy.
