Ghost in the Shell SAC_2045, the Netflix animated series, presents the trailer for its second season along with its premiere date on the popular streaming platform. Thus, the new adventures of Motoko and company in CGI anime format will be back next month of May 2022, on a specific day yet to be announced. And along with this first preview -which you can see on these lines- we already know the first details of this new set of episodes that follow the events of the end of the first season broadcast, let’s remember, in spring 2020 We also have a new poster.
Makoto returns to Section 9
“This is how Kenji Kamiyama and Shinji Aramaki see the year 2045 in the iconic futuristic sci-fi franchise Ghost in the Shell. The prosthetic cyborg Motoko Kusanagi leads Public Security Section 9 to once again combat cybercrime. The long-awaited second season will be available worldwide in May, only on Netflix ”, we can read in the official description of it.
Thus, and as the title of the series suggests, we return to the dystopian future in which a global conflict has been taking place for two decades. With the ever-present threat of the posthumans, Motoko and her companions must return to Section 9 to fight their own battle.
After working on the 12 episodes of the first season, directors Kenji Kamiyama and Shinji Aramaki return to direct a series for Production IG > and Sola Digital Arts, with a new character design by Ilya Kuvshinov. We’ll see if the fans welcome the new adventures of Ghost in the Shell with open arms in a format, CGI, that didn’t quite convince compared to traditional animation.
