Pressing X will skip to the next line of dialogue when a character is talking to Aloy outside of a cutscene. You can spam the button if you want to end the conversation quickly. If you’re in a cutscene, all you have to do to skip it is hold down the Circle button.
Personally, I wouldn’t recommend skipping the cutscenes and dialogue in Horizon Forbidden West, as it features some of the best story content we’ve seen in a PlayStation exclusive in a long time.
