Lost Ark: How To Level Up Fast

Lost Ark is an MMOARPG developed by Smilegate, and has been available for quite a few years, but it’s only coming to English-speaking territories this year. The game is set in the fantastical world of Arkesia, where your character is tasked with finding various keys and clues that will lead you to the titular Ark before the bad guys. Here’s how to level up fast in Lost Ark.

Leveling up fast in Lost Ark

At the time of this writing, the combat level cap is level 50, which means you’ll need to reach 50 first before you can start thinking about end-game content. At the bottom of the screen, you’ll see a big blue bar indicating how many experience points you’ve earned for that level, and once it’s completely filled, you’ll level up.

Accumulating experience points and leveling up is fairly easy in those first few hours of the game; While you gain a bit of experience from killing enemies, it’s much more efficient to simply level up by completing quests and turning them in.

For example, it’s entirely possible to reach 50 quickly just by concentrating on the main story missions. However, if you want to reach the limit before finishing the story, make sure you also collect all the yellow quest markers on your map. The nice thing about the Lost Ark side quests is that they’re very easy for the most part and usually require you to head in the direction of the next main story objective anyway, so there’s really no reason to don’t pick them up.

As you move through zones, you will sometimes receive pop-up quests, indicated by red markers. These require you to kill enemies within a time limit, and again, they’re also usually pretty easy and will reward you with tons of experience.

These are the different types of quests you should focus on if you just want to reach level 50 quickly:

  • Main story missions: indicated by orange markers and blue markers in a later section of the game
  • Side missions: indicated with yellow markers
  • Sudden missions: indicated by red markers

You can also do the pink Rapport quests offered to you by certain NPCs, but it might be more efficient to save them for later when you have more resources to complete them quickly.

Endgame leveling

Finally, once you’ve reached the endgame content in the Lost Ark, there are also plenty of daily and weekly activities for you to check out. Listed below are the activities you should do as often as possible if you want to quickly increase your team score:

  • Chaos Dungeons
  • Guardian Raids
  • Dungeons of the Abyss
  • Abyss raids
  • Legion Raids

If you’ve just reached the late game, you’ll definitely want to start Chaos Dungeons first, which tasks you with defeating multiple waves of enemies. This is probably the easiest content to start with, and it will also help improve your basic gear score, allowing you to move on to other activities.
