Nintendo Switch Sports is just days away from starting its first public test. The Online Play Test will allow Nintendo Switch Online subscribers to try out a preview of this spiritual sequel to the Wii Sports saga. We tell you what you must do to join.
How to participate in the Nintendo Switch Sports Online Play Test?
- Go to this link which will take you to the official My Nintendo page.
- Sign in with the profile you normally use on your Nintendo Switch console.
- On the main page you will find a frame dedicated to the Online Play Test. Click on it and select the red ‘redeem’ button. To do so, remember that you must be registered in any of the Nintendo Switch Online subscription modalities.
- A gift box will appear at the top of the screen. Click on it and it will take you a little further down, where it says ‘download code’. You must redeem this alphanumeric code in the eShop of your Nintendo Switch.
How do I redeem a code on Nintendo Switch?
- Select the Nintendo eShop within your Nintendo Switch and log in with your usual profile.
- In the left side menu scroll down to the sixth option, ‘redeem code’ .
- Write your code of 16 letters and numbers
- Once you complete the registration, a screen will appear with the element that you will start downloading. If incorrect, you will be returned to the redemption screen.
When will the Nintendo Switch Sports Online Play Test start?
In Spain the Online Play Test will take place on February 19 and 20 in certain specific margins. Next, we leave you the calendar according to the peninsular time.

What content does the Nintendo Switch Online Online Play Test include?
The Online Play Test will cover just three of the six sports it will feature at launch (golf will be the seventh and will be free in the fall). You can play bowling, tennis and chambara via matchmaking. The invitation system will not be enabled.
