How to get Arceus in Pokémon Legends Arceus

Let’s jump right in. To start, you must have beaten the main mission of the game. Ideally, we’re not spoiling anything in the game other than the fact that, well, yes, you can catch Arceus. We assume you already knew that; Otherwise, you wouldn’t have risked clicking on this article.

You’ll know you’re done once you’ve reached the quest, A New Day Dawns. You’re going to need to start the quest, The Mythos Finder given to you by Captain Cyllenne at Galaxy HQ.

From here, the path to get Arceus is easy but long. You’ll have to complete a series of quests that follow one after another, taking you on a tour of Hisui/Sinnoh, snatching all the missing Legendary Pokémon to complete your Pokedex.

By finishing these quests, you will get Azure Flute and the final quest, The Deified Pokemon. On paper, it’s a simple mission. Go to Sinnoh Temple and play the blue flute.

Again, we’re not going to spoil exactly what happens, but the bottom line is that you’ll be in a balm-sand battle with Arceus.

This isn’t Dark Souls, though Pokemon Legends Arceus pretends to be at times, so the battle won’t be too difficult for anyone who’s already made it this far in the game. Use the same tactics that you have been using in these types of fights. Use your dodge roll to get past the attacks, then hit him in the face with salves to reduce his health when you get the chance.

Arceus, unsurprisingly, is the most aggressive. So for this one, take it easy if you’re going through a tough time; avoid hitting him with salves when he is shooting energy balls from his head. You’ll know it when you see it.

  • Complete the main story, then accept the post-game quest: A New Day Dawns & The Researcher of Myths.
  • Continue completing post-game quests in order until you reach The Deified Pokemon.
  • Follow the prompts and bring the blue flute to Sinnoh Temple
  • Defeat Arceus in battle

And that’s it! Kill Arceus and he will be added to your party which you can use for whatever you want. You’ll have the Legend Plate, the most broken item in the game that turns Arceus’s Judgment attack into a super effective Same-Type Attack Bonus (STAB) move 100% of the time.
