Sega confirms Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- for Nintendo Switch… although for now only for Japan and Asia

Night Watch Kimetsu no Yaiba: The Hinokami Chronicles is coming to Nintendo Switch. Sega itself has confirmed it, although at the moment it has only been done for Japan and Asia.

The game was anticipated last week on Switch for June 9 with a special edition . But it has not been until now when the company has decided to show it as a reality.

This is the trailer, short but intense, with which Sega has presented the Switch version . With all the flourishes of the Nintendo console, they confirm the June 9, 2022 launch.

Aniplex also announced Kimetsu no Yaiba Night Watch: The Chronicles by Hinokami on Switch. But as we say, it is a date for Japan and Asia at the moment.

The launch for the rest of the consoles was also similar, first it was announced and localized into English by Sega in these territories. Later, it was confirmed for the rest of the world with only one day difference.

It is not clear that this time everything will be repeated in the same way, but the steps are similar. Even so, we will have to wait for its official confirmation in Western territory.

What Sega Asia has confirmed is the premiere in the region for the same day as in Japan. The Switch port will come with all playable demons: Rui, Akaza, Susamaru, Yahaba, Yushiro and Tamayo. These were not released, but came with updates after their release.

In our review of Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles, we commented: “It’s a shame that the gameplay is so ‘business as usual’ and the exploration so lousy, because the recreation of the anime (and movie) is simply sublime, the best to date in a CyberConnect2 title.

Kimetsu no Yaiba fans will probably enjoy it, despite the incontestable scarcity of content“.

All in all, let’s wait a little longer to see how the Switch port is doing. As confirmed by Sega Asia, the developer is again CyberConnect2.
