We have had the opportunity to test in detail the 204 hp plug-in hybrid variant in the FR sports finish of the Seat León, which has demonstrated its ability to circulate in 100% electric mode (between 45 and 57 km), demonstrating really low fuel consumption. and all this with very good benefits.
The Seat León range is offered in practically all the current propulsion technologies of current passenger cars, including micro hybridization, adaptations for natural gas, an electric and a self-rechargeable hybrid, and the latest to be added is this PHEV, the Seat León e-HYBRID 204 FR. Know more about Toyota ne shitje.
This plug-in hybrid version also has the capacity to generate power during deceleration and braking, and can use each motor separately or together to achieve the maximum possible thrust of its mechanical implementation.
Its dimensions are the same as the global model in the rest of the versions.

A propulsion system worthy of a very exclusive club
The propulsion system of this Leon e-HYBRID 204 FR has been made by combining a 150 hp turbocharged direct injection 1.4 petrol engine with a 115 hp (85 kW) electric motor , managing both with a gearbox 6-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox (DSG6), generating an offer with a single total combined power of 204 hp, identical to the set offered in the VW Golf eHybrid and in the Audi A3 40 TFSIe.
It is evident that these levels of power, with an elaborate plug-in hybrid system, allow this Seat Leon to access a propulsion optimization club that few cars in its segment and size currently offer, with a top speed approved at 220 km/h.
It has a 13 kW/h battery, rechargeable in just over 3 hours if a power of 3.6 kW is used, and in just under 6 hours in a classic 230V/16 A domestic socket, and can also define the retention and, consequently, the recovery of electricity thanks to the cams that it incorporates in the steering wheel .
The Leon e-HYBRID always starts with electric propulsion (as long as there is sufficient charge in the battery), quietly and smoothly, being able to reach up to 130 km/h in said mode, as long as a request for rapid power is not made and elevated.
If it exceeds this speed or if the battery runs out, it immediately automatically switches to using the gasoline engine simultaneously with the electric one or exclusively. Of course, through the central screen, by choosing the “energy manager” function , you can manage the mode of energy use, jointly, exclusively for one of the motors, even automatically.
Logically, the central screen has an easy-to-interpret battery charge status control system , it also perfectly indicates the moments in which it self-recharges, being able to always visualize the % of charge with which it is counted at each moment, and even being possible to set the battery level that you do not want to exceed in any case .
It is possible to circulate “at sail” although keeping the gasoline engine running at idle during the process, since it does not automatically disconnect in this circumstance.
We have verified that by making good use of the battery until it runs out and the tank until its 40-litre capacity is empty , it is possible to travel 800 km before having to refuel or plug in to recharge electricity, with autonomy in 100% electric mode being almost of 60 km , and fuel consumption of about 5.1 litres/100 km , in mixed city, highway and mountain routes.
Dynamic behavior typical of a good Lion
The dynamic behavior of the Leon e-HYBRID 204 is somewhat more progressive (due to its greater weight) compared to the eTSI , but with very agile levels even when changing direction, thanks also to its power and the pull provided by its electric motor. in case of need.
Its typical character with very precise steering remains unchanged, with good braking capacity and a suspension that does its job flawlessly in any situation. With correct body control, although with less laudable comfort in this FR version that is more focused on sportiness.
To further improve the dynamic sensations , the adjustable dampers / DCC Adaptive Chassis Control can be accessed , in order to regulate the degree of adjustment.
It also offers 3 driving modes (“Eco”, “Normal” or “Sport” and “Individual”), the latter being a mode tailored to the driver, according to his tastes or needs.
The typical character of the Seat León is also present in this e-HYBRID in terms of its more than enough habitability for 4 adults , without great fanfare, but with enough space for the legs, even in the case of tall occupants.
However, the trunk has lost some space in this variant due to the occupation carried out by the battery along the floor, losing 90 liters compared to its brothers with a thermal engine.
