What series to watch this weekend on Netflix, HBO Max and Prime Video: titans, space forces and spice

We have the accumulated incidence plummeting for weeks and the sunny weather together with the good temperatures invite you to take a walk on the beach, mountain range, mountain or city. It is logical, and more so without the obligation of outdoor masks.

Despite this, many citizens prefer to stay at home. For responsibility and, let’s face it, for comfort. May the excuses never be lacking to stay quietly in the warmth of the home enjoying television and the sofa, whether playing games, reading or watching series.

For this weekend of 18, 19 and February 20, 2022 we bring you a series of recommendations that are very different and at the same time similar to each other, but all corresponding to a different platform, so that everyone can enjoy at least one.

The series are: Space Force, from Netflix; Sons of Dune, from HBO Max; and Attack on Titan, from Prime Video. We sincerely believe that you will like them.

Titans, space forces and spice. Here we go.

Space Force (Season 2)

This series passed without much glory by Netflix when it premiered last year. But to be fair, he had his audience. Also faithful to those who make noise when asking for more seasons.

To be fair, Space Force is a fairly drinkable comedy where Steve Carell and John Malkovich eat up the screen with completely bizarre performances, very much in their style. Is it funny? Yes. Is it absurd? Totally.

Netflix has just released its second season where we can follow the madness of totally unnecessary and absurd special forces, which is criticizing the Trump administration, the main person responsible for this security body.

  • Title: Space Force
  • Release date: 2022
  • Duration: 26-minute episodes
  • Platform: Netflix

Sons of Dune

As you well know, HBO Max has finally brought Dune to its Spanish catalogue. So this weekend you can also watch movies, not just series, and among those we can recommend is Dune, the latest work by Denis Villeneuve.

And, along with it, HBO Max is going to include in its catalog the 2003 miniseries of three chapters called Children of Dune, where the story of the second third book of the trilogy that Frank Herbert wrote decades ago is told. It’s not a brilliant piece of work, but it is great for delving into his universe.

Just to see James McAvoy as a young man is worth it.

Attack on Titan (Season 4)

If you like manga you know this series. If you are not interested in manga, as soon as you see this series you will change your mind. Shingeki no Kyojin is, for many, the masterpiece of our time.

The story takes place in a fictional world where humanity is on the verge of extinction due to humanoid creatures called titans, forcing the survivors to take refuge in three huge walls that prevent access to said monsters. .

Amazon just uploaded Season 4 Part 1 to its Prime Video service, so it’s time to catch up for the series finale, which will be is premiering right now in Japan.
