Yet another Nintendo Direct and Hollow Knight: Silksong is still missing; what about the game?

In 4 days millions of people throughout the world will celebrate Valentine’s Day full of love and happiness, totally oblivious to another reality that so many others, including myself, will sadly be living. Yes, more than one of you who have read the title will know what I am talking about. February 14 marks the 3 YEARS of the presentation trailer for Hollow Knight: Silksong. 1095 days in which we have only received silence.

Hollow Knight: Silksong and 6 equally essential indie jewels to follow this 2022

Hollow Knight: Silksong didn’t show up at yesterday’s Nintendo Direct and I’m on fire.

  • February is Hollow Knight month, period. I do not accept discussion about it. And not that I say it. As I have already told you, on the 14th it will be 3 years since we learned for the first and last time of the existence of Silksong. ?
  • But also the first trailer for Hollow Knight also came out in February. And when was the game released? You guessed it, on February 24th. ?
  • And with that premise in my head, the Big N announces a Nintendo Direct for on February 9. All the cards were on the table. It all made sense. ?
  • A bit of a ghoulish prank by Team Cherry to have us all waiting for February just to satisfy their OCD? Maybe, but the important thing was that yesterday was the day. ?
  • Only it wasn’t. The trailer for Xenoblade Chronicles 3 has arrived and… it’s over. I expected an “ah, but one more thing is missing”, but it never happened. ?
  • And it’s not that Nintendo is not aware of what we expect from the game, after all Silksong became a trending topic on Twitter all day yesterday. ?
  • I’d love to be able to tell you when it’s going to be announced, but I really have no idea. I was sure it would be in yesterday’s Direct, but no luck. We still have time for Team Cherry to make a statement throughout February, but every day that passes I see it getting more complicated.
it was in a relatively late stage of development.

  • To be honest, I prefer that they take all the time they need (if possible before I die) and that Hollow Knight: Silksong is what in my opinion its predecessor was: the best metrodivania since the conception of the genre itself. ?
